The IHR Repository/Dépot de la RHI          Last Edition of the IHR/Dernière Édition de la RHI

The International Hydrographic Review (IHR) is an international journal publishing peer-reviewed papers on all aspects of hydrography and associated subjects, ranging from the latest technical developments to history. It was first published in 1921 and since then has been published regularly.

In 2009 the IHR became a web-based publication, with two editions a year and an annual printed copy of these two editions distributed to the IHO Member States. Access to the digital editions is open to all and free of charge.

The IHR has an Editorial Board to help the IHR Editor in keeping a good standard of the Review. The Editorial Board will be comprised of representatives of all Regional Hydrographic Commissions, who are expected to act at a regional level to encourage submission of articles, contribute with notes and to identify qualified experts for the peer-review process. Expert contributors may be invited to the Editorial Board.

Member States are strongly urged to contribute to the Review as an important means of sharing information on their activities and developments within the hydrographic community. Individuals and organizations working in the field are also invited to contribute.

The IHR is composed of four parts: Editorial, Articles, Notes and General Information. For details on the requirements for submitting contributions, please see the Technical Instructions for Contributors.

The International Hydrographic Review will be published in May and November each year. All article contributions for the May edition must be submitted to the Editor before 31 January, and contributions for the November edition must be submitted before 31 July.

All contributions should be sent to the Acting IHR Editor - IHO Assistant Director Alberto Costa Neves at the email address ihreview@iho.int.

IHO Resolution 6/2009 as amended.
